During the flight, Haden, who was described as anxious and sweating, complained of a bad stomach and requested a change of clothes. He then locked himself in the bathroom where a colleague later found him without any threads! The quick-thinking crew member managed to help him get dressed again and move him to a vacant seat. ✈️
Once the plane landed at Heathrow, paramedics were on standby and took Haden to the hospital. Blood tests showed he had methamphetamine and amphetamine in his system, according to court reports.
Facing the music, Haden appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to performing an aviation role while under the influence of drugs. He’s been let go by British Airways and will be sentenced at a later date.
