Gary Lineker had everyone in stitches on the latest episode of The Rest is Football podcast, where he and co-hosts Alan Shearer and Micah Richards shared a light-hearted moment. During a chat about the Fulham vs Manchester United match at Craven Cottage, Lineker mentioned riding a Lime bike for the first time, joking that he hasn’t sat on any bike in “decades and decades.” This opened the door for Shearer to cheekily suggest it might be the first ride Lineker’s had in 15 years, to which Lineker wittily replied, “Sadly, that’s probably true, Al. But anyway…”. 😂

The fun banter didn’t just stop there. Fans couldn’t get enough of Lineker’s self-deprecating humour which quickly spread online. It’s not the first time Lineker has been candid about his personal life. Earlier this year, Richards playfully chided him about finding a new partner, to which Lineker responded with confidence about his single status: “I’m so happy on my own. I’ve got lots of friends I go out with, have dinner, have fun. I’m alright, Micah, honestly.”

After being married for much of his adult life, including unions with Michelle Cockayne and Danielle Bux, Lineker is now content with focusing on himself and his impressive broadcasting career. From Match of the Day to his current ventures, he continues to be a beloved figure in the football community, proving that his quick wit and positive outlook are just as entertaining as ever.
It’s always a laugh a minute with these football legends! 🤣⚽️
