🌳💔 A Heartbreaking Day at Ashcombe Park 💔🌳

Tragedy struck at Ashcombe Park in Weston-super-Mare when a beloved 75-year-old retired florist, Carol Spearing, lost her life after a large tree branch fell on her during a routine morning walk. She was enjoying the stroll with her friends and beloved dog, unaware of the misfortune awaiting them.

Carol, a loving mum, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was taken to Southmead Hospital after sustaining a critical head injury and multiple fractures. Despite the best efforts of emergency teams and medical staff, she sadly passed away on 30th June. The impact of her sudden loss is felt deeply by her family and the local community.
Her heartbroken son, Sean, remembers Carol as a vibrant, fun-loving person who dedicated her life to her family and her florist shop, Carol’s Flowers, in Weston-super-Mare. Her family describes her as someone who was taken far too soon.
The inquest concluded that Carol’s death was a tragic accident, and the tree had been inspected and was considered low risk, with no prior defects. However, Carol’s family hopes for improvements to prevent future tragedies.
Sending heartfelt condolences to Carol’s family and friends during this difficult time. ❤️🌸
Stay safe and take care of each other. 💬🕊️
