🚨Controlled Explosion in Dunmurry🚨


A major security alert unfolded in Dunmurry after police discovered a suspected pipe bomb in the Gardenmore Walk area on Friday night. The PSNI swiftly moved into action, evacuating several homes to ensure residents’ safety. Residents faced a challenging night as they were relocated to safety, finally returning home on Saturday morning after the scene was declared secure around 8.30am.

Ammunition technical officers conducted a controlled explosion to neutralise the device, believed to have been viable. The remnants are now undergoing forensic examination, and investigations are in full swing.
Sinn Féin MLA Danny Baker voiced his concerns, condemning the individuals responsible for this disruption. He highlighted the unnecessary distress caused to the Twinbrook community and urged people to steer clear of the area while investigations continue.
