Hefin’s coffin, draped in a symbolic Welsh flag, entered the church to “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace” and later moved to Thornhill Crematorium with “Piano Man” by Billy Joel playing, perfectly capturing larger-than-life spirit. Moving tributes were delivered, celebrating not just his political contributions but also his profound love for family, including his beloved partner Vikki Howells MS and his daughters.

In heartfelt honour, poems and eulogies were shared, while the power of music resonated throughout—from “The Strength of the Mountain” to Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain.”
