After a rockfall caused a lane closure, a team of specialists from National Highways crafted a pretty intricate solution to tackle the issue. They’re working tirelessly to safely remove debris and stabilise the hillside at Leys Bend, located on the Herefordshire/Monmouthshire border.
For those concerned about future safety, don’t worry—the plan includes installing steel bolts and mesh to prevent any more rockfalls. 🛠️ A contraflow system is keeping traffic moving in both directions for now, so travel might take a little longer, but it’s all for a safer road!
