🌟 Attention all pensioners! 🌟

Good news for those over State Pension age! The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced that you can claim your £300 Winter Fuel Payment starting this autumn. Get ready to keep cosy without worrying about extra heating costs!

Here’s the scoop:

📅 **Claim Dates:**
– By post from 15th September
– By phone from 13th October
Most people will automatically receive their payments in November or December, but if you’ve never had it before, or if you’ve deferred your State Pension, you might need to apply.
📬 **How to Apply:**
Make your claim by post or phone. And beware of scams! If you get any emails or texts asking you to click links or provide personal info, delete them right away. DWP will never ask you to apply in such a manner.
💼 **Eligibility:**
You’re eligible if you were born before 22nd September 1959 and live in England or Wales. However, there are exceptions if you live in a care home and receive certain benefits, or if you were in the hospital for a full week during the qualifying week (15th-21st September 2025).
💰 **How Much?**
– £100 to £300, depending on your date of birth and circumstances.
– Payments won’t affect your other entitlements.
If you think you should get a letter and haven’t by November, check if you need to claim. Missed the correspondence or your payment by January 28th, 2026? Contact the Winter Fuel Payment Centre.
Opt-out option is available if you don’t wish to receive this support in future. 💌
