It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though. Craig Bellamy’s squad had to withstand a surge from the Kazakhs post-half-time. Kazakhstan came out with renewed energy and came close to equalising on several occasions. Galymzhan Kenzhebek almost toppled us with a strike that Karl Darlow thankfully tipped onto the crossbar.
