A tragic discovery has been made in the search for a missing woman in the Scottish Highlands. A body was found in the River Foyers near Inverness on Thursday evening. While formal identification hasn’t taken place yet, Police Scotland has informed the family of Naomi McSorley, 63, who was reported missing earlier that day.


Naomi was last seen Thursday morning near the B852 road in her Highland village. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently being treated as unexplained, though there are no suspicious circumstances at this time, according to officers. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal for further investigation.
