A major blaze has broken out at the iconic Helios Building, once the bustling heart of the BBC, now transformed into flats and a trendy restaurant in London’s White City. Around 100 heroic firefighters and 15 engines are on the scene, tirelessly battling the flames in the nine-storey landmark on Wood Lane.

The fire, which started in the early hours, is affecting the upper floors including a restaurant and some flats, with external decking and ducting also alight. As a safety precaution, nearby buildings are being evacuated and a rest centre is in place for those who’ve had to leave.
