Leedell lunged at the officer, slashing his neck with a knife, while another officer was injured trying to subdue him. Leedell’s rampage began with aggressive threats towards a woman, prompting multiple calls to the police. Despite sustaining injuries, the police managed to restrain and arrest him, showcasing remarkable courage in the face of danger.
Charged with harassment, assault of an emergency worker, and wounding with intent, Leedell has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison by Sheffield Crown Court. The charges serve as a stern reminder that aggression towards law enforcement will not be tolerated.
