This isn’t an isolated incident. Last month, a 22-inch giant was discovered in Yorkshire, outpacing the average UK brown rat, typically measuring between 15 and 27 centimetres.
What’s causing these rat sightings? Pest expert Phil Golding, with over 20 years on the job, says he’s never seen anything like these giants and points to increased food waste as a possible lure. 🗑️ Housing developments might also be a factor, pushing rats closer to our homes. Plus, many are leaving snacks for wildlife, inadvertently feeding unwanted guests.
