🏆🏉 Double Champs Seeking Support! 🏉🏆

Our incredible Wales Deaf rugby teams, crowned world champions in 2023, are eager to defend their titles in Japan next year. Despite their stunning achievement, they face a new challenge: raising £150,000 to make the trip. They’ve already defied the odds; now they need your support!

While the Welsh Government and Welsh Rugby Union haven’t been able to pitch in financially, the teams remain determined to represent our country on the world stage. The men’s and women’s squads, comprising around 35-40 players and staff, each need about £4.5k to cover their expenses.
Feeling the love from Aberavon Quins, who kindly host our training sessions, and appreciating contributions from local legends like Nic Cudd and Sam Parry, we keep pushing ahead.
Special thanks to Specsavers, who’ve backed us with shirt sponsorship and free hearing tests! But we still need more partners to come on board to help tell this amazing story of strength and unity.
Joining forces with community clubs and bringing grand events – like guest speaker evenings and fundraising activities – our devoted supporters are pulling out all the stops. There’s even a Newport Half Marathon entry, bad knees and all!
This journey is larger than rugby. It’s about shining a light on the deaf community in Wales and celebrating their extraordinary accomplishments. Winning the World Cup was monumental, and it’s time these champions receive the recognition they deserve.
Let’s rally together to make their dream a reality! Every effort counts. Together, we can ensure Wales Deaf teams set foot on Japanese soil to proudly defend their titles.
To lend a hand, join our journey and help raise the funds we need. Spread the word, get involved, and stand with our champions! 🌍🏆
