Radio host Chris Moyles has hit a bit of a bump with Wrexham AFC! Despite being an avid promoter of the “Welcome to Wrexham” series on his Radio X show, Moyles was left hanging when the club didn’t respond to his request to broadcast live from their stadium. Instead, he’ll be setting up shop at the famous Turf pub, known from the documentary, next Tuesday.

On air, Moyles expressed his surprise at the snub, considering previous collaborations and his efforts to promote the newfound fame of Wrexham AFC, thanks to their Hollywood co-owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

In a playful rant, he jokingly addressed club figures, mentioning their busy schedule and urging locals to nudge the club to get in touch. Wrexham’s bustling summer, including a tour Down Under and signing new talents, may have pushed his request down the priority list.

So, while Moyles might not have Reynolds or McElhenney to gab with, you can catch him at The Turf if you’re in town! And for fans of “Welcome to Wrexham”, season four is now streaming on Disney+.
It’s the kind of drama we’d expect from the club that’s as entertaining off the pitch as on it! Let’s hope that Wrexham’s whirlwind of excitement continues, both on the field and behind the mic. Stay tuned, and maybe Moyles’ dream of a Hollywood friendship isn’t completely off the cards! 🍻🎙️✨ #ChrisMoyles #WrexhamAFC #RadioX #WelcomeToWrexham
