🚨 **Cockroach Update: Singleton Hospital’s Kitchen Closure!** 🚨

Attention Swansea! There’s a new update on the pesky cockroach problem at Singleton Hospital. The hospital’s kitchen is still closed, months after the initial infestation was found back in June.

What’s the latest? 🪳 Despite finding these critters in the “undercroft” and even above the cold storage areas, the Swansea Bay Health Board is trying hard to get rid of them. While the kitchen remains shut with no reopening date in sight, they assure us that patient meals are still being served without a hitch, thanks to external suppliers and help from Morriston Hospital’s kitchen team.
In keeping with expert advice, more treatments are underway and the dining room and coffee shop are operating as usual. Patients can still enjoy their meals while the hospital works on a fix.
Swansea Council is aware of the issue and is monitoring the situation. Let’s hope the creepy-crawlies pack up and leave soon! Stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
