A shocking incident took place outside a Greggs in Newport, where 18-year-old Tomas Hangurbadzo attacked Michael Lee following a dispute over drugs. The confrontation started after Lee and his partner complained about an underweight deal from Hangurbadzo, who was unfit to stand trial. Things escalated when Lee’s window was smashed, supposedly by Hangurbadzo and his accomplice, Jordan Rosser, 21.

Lee confronted the pair outside Greggs, which led to a violent brawl. Rosser punched Lee multiple times before Hangurbadzo pulled out a knife, stabbing Lee repeatedly, including in the head. Witnessed by a Greggs delivery driver, Lee was rushed to the University Hospital of Wales with severe injuries including a collapsed lung.

Police investigations uncovered messages between Hangurbadzo and Rosser discussing the attack, ultimately leading to their arrests. Hangurbadzo was found guilty of attempted murder and drug-related charges, while Rosser was convicted of wounding with intent. Both are awaiting sentencing as further psychiatric evaluations are conducted.
