Heavy rainfall has led to multiple flood warnings across Wales, with 11 areas currently under threat. Natural Resources Wales is urging residents in certain regions to take immediate action as conditions worsen.

The main areas on high alert include:
– Wye estuary at Chepstow
– Wye estuary near Tintern
– Tidal area at Carmarthen Bay Holiday Park, Kidwelly

These areas face imminent flooding risks, potentially affecting properties, including static and mobile caravans at the holiday park.

Beyond these critical warnings, eight additional flood alerts are in place, urging residents to stay prepared. Areas affected include the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coasts and the coastal regions from Aberthaw to the Severn Bridge. High tides combined with adverse weather conditions could lead to flooding in low-lying lands and roads.

The Met Office predicts more grim weather ahead with blustery winds, frequent showers, and occasional thunder. Expect temperatures around 16-17 °C, with cooler nights dropping to 6 °C.
