🚨 Mysterious Blaze in Porthcawl: Police Seek Answers 🚨
More than two weeks after a devastating vehicle fire in Porthcawl, police are still working tirelessly to identify a body found at the scene. On August 28th, emergency services rushed to Mackworth Road, near the seafront, responding to what has been described as a major “fire incident” involving several vehicles. Once the flames were subdued, a tragic discovery was made – a deceased person was found inside one of the burnt-out vehicles.
South Wales Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for any information that could help identify the individual and uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Detectives describe the death as “unexplained” and the inquiry is ongoing.
Forensic officers have been at the scene, meticulously gathering evidence to piece together the sequence of events. A local resident recounted hearing “loud bangs” at around 3am, initially mistaking them for fairground rides being dismantled, as work was routinely done overnight.
The stretch of Mackworth Road where the incident occurred was cordoned off for a thorough investigation, and police are calling on the community for any information that might shed light on this mysterious and tragic event.
