Meet Lynsey Taylor, a mum of four from Merthyr, who’s been caught in a whirlwind ever since selling her son’s £850 gaming laptop on Vinted. She was hoping to use the funds to treat her son to a fun day out at Folly Farm, but five weeks later, she’s still waiting for the payment!
Here’s the scoop: Lynsey listed the Acer gaming laptop for £350, but after some negotiations, she accepted an offer of £280 from a very grateful buyer. She promptly posted it the same day, but then the mystery started. Despite being told that the parcel was delivered, Lynsey never got the confirmation needed to receive her money. The buyer claimed the laptop hadn’t been received, blaming the courier.
Determined to get to the bottom of things, Lynsey did some detective work. She contacted the courier and even the concierge at the buyer’s apartment block, who both confirmed the laptop had been delivered. Even Royal Mail says it’s been signed for!
Despite all this evidence, Lynsey’s still stuck in a loop with Vinted, who are waiting on… you guessed it, the courier. Meanwhile, she’s got a disappointed son who’s eager to visit Folly Farm.
