The race kicked off with the spirited tones of the Welsh anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, setting the tone for an unforgettable day. Athletes plunged into the brisk waters of North Beach for a 2.4-mile swim, battled a grueling 112-mile bike ride through the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast, and powered through a challenging 26.2-mile marathon winding through Tenby’s medieval streets.
Britain’s Lewis Eccleston stormed to victory, claiming the men’s title, with Germany’s Finn Von Schmeling and the UK’s Sam Proctor hot on his heels. On the women’s side, Austria’s Franziska Hofmann clinched first place, while Brits Rosie Wild and Katie Phipkin earned second and third.
