🚗💥 Banned Driver Ignores Court Order Again! 💥🚗

Meet Brett Lehaj, the man who just can’t seem to stay out from behind the wheel! Just three months after facing the court for defying a driving ban, Brett was back at it, giving his partner a lift to work. His reason? She was unwell but committed to her cleaning job at Trecco Bay holiday park in Porthcawl.
Despite a shaky track record, including a 38-month ban last year for drink-driving, Brett avoided jail time once more. This time, he was caught driving his BMW along the M4 in Bridgend and appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, where his lawyer argued that Brett was helping his partner.

His partner, a part-time cleaner, couldn’t drive due to health issues, and Brett stepped in. Although he admitted to driving while disqualified and without insurance once again, his lawyer insisted there was nothing untoward about his driving.
A history of multiple driving infractions, including a recent criminal damage charge, didn’t help his case. But Brett expressed a desire to turn his life around, battling anxiety and depression with hopes of returning to work.
The court sentenced him to an 18-month community order, 200 hours of unpaid work, and 20 rehabilitation days to reassess his “consequential thinking.” Given his medium risk of future offences, it’s clear Brett has a long road ahead to get back in the legal driving lane. 🚔
What do you think? Should Brett have faced harsher consequences or is there room for empathy given his circumstances? Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️
