🚨HOT POLITICAL NEWS!🚨 Wales’ First Minister, Eluned Morgan, has expressed concerns about the huge workload Senedd committees are handing over! 📋✍️

In a recent letter, Morgan urged for “realism” when dishing out recommendations, emphasising on limited resources. Essentially, if the overload continues, expect more of those recommendations to get the chop! ❌
But it’s not a one-sided debate! Labour’s Mike Hedges agrees there are too many recommendations, but questions Morgan’s authority on the matter. Calling out ministers for frequently accepting recommendations only “in principle”, he argues it’s a cop-out approach. 🧐

Adam Price from Plaid Cymru chimed in, warning of blurred lines between the Welsh Government and Senedd’s roles. He insisted recommendations should be seen as valuable guidance, not merely extra work! 🤝
As tensions simmer, Senedd members have suggested a sit-down between committee chairs and the government to find common ground. It’s a classic tug of war between scrutiny and governance! ⚖️
What do you think? Should the First Minister have a say in managing committee recommendations, or is it time for committees to keep the pressure on? Let’s hear your thoughts! 🙋♂️🙋♀️ #WalesPolitics #ScrutinyDebate #ElunedMorgan
