Katie Wallis, the former MP for Bridgend, is up for trial next year, facing accusations of possessing a false passport while she was still in Parliament. Known for being the first openly transgender MP in the House of Commons, Wallis, previously identified as Jamie, represented herself in a recent court appearance.

At Newport Crown Court, Wallis faced two charges: First, for allegedly holding a British passport under the name Jamie Wallis, knowing it was false. Second, for possession of a false document in the same name. These charges date back to April 2022, while she was serving as a Conservative MP.
