🚨 Attention Learner Drivers! 🚗💨

Are you gearing up for your driving test? Be on your toes! 🧐 Scammers are out there targeting eager learners with fake driving tests and lesson offers. TSB has reported a whopping 211% surge in scam-related fraud loss for learners from January to August 2025, in comparison with the same period in 2024. The average hit? A hefty £244!

Here’s how the trick usually plays out: You find an irresistibly good offer – 20 lessons for £500 or a fast-tracked test for just £100. You pay up. Then… silence. Like a ghost, the fraudster disappears, leaving you in the lurch. 💸
Fake DVSA websites are also popping up, charging people for non-existent tests before blocking them. Not cool, right? Alex Robinson from TSB says: “Fraudsters are capitalising on the long waiting lists for tests. Don’t fall for it!”
🚫 What can you do? 🚫
1. Don’t rush. Stick to official channels for booking tests and lessons.
2. Verify, verify, verify. If you’re about to pay, make sure the service is legit.
3. Beware of messages on social media claiming to be from the DVSA or offering fast-tracked tests. Most scams start here.
If you suspect a scam, report it to the social media platform ASAP! Remember, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Let’s keep your driving journey smooth and scam-free! 🚘✨
Stay savvy out there! 🛑🚦
