Exciting news for Wales! 💰✨ A whopping £214 million is up for grabs to spruce up our local areas, and it’s all about making our towns shine again. With the UK Government’s ‘Pride in Place’ scheme, nine lucky areas in Wales are each set to receive a £20m boost. Already earmarked for funding are places like Wrexham, Barry, Cwmbran, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhyl.

And guess which new spots are joining the party? 🎉 Blaenau Gwent, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Conwy, Cardiff, and Swansea will now be able to benefit from this exciting programme. Each council isn’t just getting a cash injection—they’re also getting a chance to work with local leaders, residents, and government officials to ensure the funds are used where they’re needed most.

But that’s not all! Every council area across Wales will nab £1.5 million to uplift public spaces—think cleaner parks, more bins, and even spruced-up leisure centres. Bridgend is receiving a little extra TLC with £3 million, identified as the area most in need.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called this an investment in the UK’s future, pushing for support to come from within our communities—because who knows the needs of our towns better than us? 🏘️
Housing Minister Steve Bull agrees: it’s about people, not politics. Local voices will direct this transformation, drawing a map towards pride in our places. 🗣️🗺️
Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on how your community might transform with these funds. A beautiful revitalisation awaits! 🚀
