🏍️ Exciting times for motocross fans! 🏍️

In a twist of events, a developer who dreamt of opening a motocross centre near Llandrindod Wells will now have his legal fees covered by the council. After Powys council initially blocked the plan, citing noise, highways, and phosphate concerns, an appeal was made. The Welsh Government’s planning inspector overruled the council’s decision, clearing the way for the new and exhilarating project at Rhydblawd Farm in Disserth.

The development is set to feature not just motocross adventures but also seven charming log cabins for holiday stays, complete with road and sewage infrastructure, including a new bridge. It promises to bring 13 jobs and a surge of visitors to the area. Despite some local objections over the years, the project is revving up to bring excitement and adrenaline to the neighbourhood.
Phil Wilding, the man behind the vision, applied back in 2022 to transform the land into a hub for motocross fun, and supporters are thrilled about the win. Reform Councillor Karl Lewis has stepped in, questioning the council on the cost details, and while those numbers are still pending, the commitment to learn from past missteps is clear.
