🏌️♂️ Ryder Cup Drama in NY! 🏌️♀️
The Ryder Cup is in full swing at the infamous Bethpage Black, but did you know this course holds a controversial past? Back in 2012, golf legend Ian Poulter wasn’t shy to share his less-than-favorable opinion. He dubbed it “the worst course setup I have ever played,” criticising its rock-hard greens and challenging holes. 😬
This historic course isn’t just known for its unique setup; it seems to polarise opinions among the pros! Former Team USA Ryder Cup captain Paul Azinger also chimed in, describing Bethpage Black as “awkward” with tricky shots and unexpected angles. ⛳️
Despite these critiques, the course remains a staple for top tournaments and currently provides the battleground for Team Europe and Team USA. Will the challenging terrain shake things up at this year’s Ryder Cup? Only time will tell! 🏆
