🏃♀️✨ Olivia Breen is charging ahead at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, even after a bit of a stumble! Our Welsh wonder, with two Paralympic medals under her belt, didn’t make it through her T38 100m heat, but watch out for her in the long jump on Wednesday. 🥇
Olivia’s got her secret weapon with her – her family! Dad Michael, mum Helen, and brother Jack are proudly in the stands, Welsh flag waving high. “It’s amazing to see friendly faces and the Welsh flag flying,” she beams.
She’s fired up and ready to jump back to her winning ways from eight years ago, right on that fast runway of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Despite a few bumps this season, Olivia’s brimming with confidence and ready to make that big leap 🌍💪.
Joining over 30 British athletes, Olivia’s not just about winning – she’s all about enjoying the journey. Though she narrowly missed the 100m final, she’s got her sights set on her long jump ambitions. And yes, exploring New Delhi is definitely on her list after her competition wraps up. “The people are friendly and respectful,” she says, eager to soak in the culture.
So, mark your calendars and let’s cheer for Olivia as she leaps into the next challenge! 🇬🇧❤️
