With just eight months to go, Morgan will stress the need for experience and stability. She believes that taking a gamble on Reform UK or Plaid could undo all the hard work since the start of devolution. The First Minister will highlight Reform’s controversial plans, which include drastic cuts to the NHS and selling off public assets. 😲
Remember what happened when seven UKIP members joined the Senedd in 2016? By the end of the term, only one remained, and one is now involved in Russia-linked bribery charges. Eluned Morgan will argue that such “fantasy politics” are not what Wales needs. Instead, she’ll call for a “practical and exciting vision” for the nation’s future, promising that Welsh Labour offers the stability required in these uncertain times.
During her speech, Morgan is also expected to announce exciting improvements to train services, including more frequent journeys between Wrexham and Chester and additional late-night trains from Cardiff to the Valleys, making it easier for everyone to enjoy events in the city. 🚆✨
