A shocking and deeply disturbing incident occurred at Cripplegate Park in Worcester. A 15-year-old boy has admitted to raping a 17-year-old girl in a terrifying attack that took place near the tennis courts around 2am on August 10th. The boy, who had no prior connection to his victim, followed her into the park and subjected her to a harrowing ordeal.
Following the attack, authorities launched an urgent manhunt which led to the boy’s arrest days later. In a court hearing at Worcester Crown Court, the boy pleaded guilty to charges of rape and assault by penetration. As he faced Judge Andrew Lockhart KC, he was informed that a pre-sentence report is being prepared while he remains in custody.
The Judge addressed the boy, emphasising the importance of cooperating with Youth Offending Team officers ahead of sentencing. Acknowledging the young offender’s guilty plea, the court assured he’ll receive a reduced sentence for his admission of guilt. His official sentencing is scheduled for December 11th.
