Ryder Cup drama is heating up! Day two was packed with action as tensions soared between Team Europe and Team USA. Tommy Fleetwood’s caddie, Ian Finnis, stole the spotlight with his towering presence and cool demeanour, cleverly stepping in to calm things down after an intense confrontation involving Bryson DeChambeau. Finnis told them all to “chill” and his no-nonsense style won fans over instantly!

But there’s more to Ian Finnis than just being a peacemaker. Standing at a whopping 6ft 7in, he’s not just a caddie but a cornerstone in Fleetwood’s journey to glory. Hailing from Liverpool, Finnis is a former amateur golfer whose friendship with Fleetwood began in their teen years. Their bond grew stronger than ever, especially after Finnis joined Fleetwood’s team in 2016, bringing calm, expertise, and an unbeatable friendship.

This dynamic duo has been on an incredible journey. Together, they’ve celebrated major wins, including the Race to Dubai title in 2017 and Team Europe’s triumph at the 2023 Ryder Cup. Most recently, they clinched the TOUR Championship and FedExCup in August. It seems there’s no stopping them!
And a little more about Finnis—he’s married to former England Lioness goalkeeper and football pundit, Rachel Brown-Finnis. This power couple shares three children and continues to inspire both on and off the course.
