⚠️ Dramatic Rescue Operation Off Welsh Coast! ⚠️

This weekend, a major rescue operation unfolded off the Carmarthenshire coast when three fishing boats were overwhelmed by powerful waves. Emergency crews, including the RNLI, Coastguard teams, and police, sprang into action.

It all kicked off just after 8pm when conditions took a turn for the worse. One boat, trapped against treacherous rocks, had its crew airlifted to safety by a heroic coastguard helicopter crew.
The independent Ferryside Lifeboat first got the call. They managed to tow a vessel with a broken anchor back to shore. Meanwhile, a second crew was rescued from their stranded boat by the air.
A thorough search of the River Taf led to the discovery of a third boat near Ginst Point – thankfully empty. Confirmation soon came that everyone was safe and accounted for by 11pm.
Tenby Lifeboats RNLI shared their experience, emphasising the challenges they faced with ever-changing tidal depths and breaking waves. Despite the formidable conditions, the smaller Ferryside Lifeboat adeptly managed to reach and tow one of the distressed vessels back to safety, with the rescue helicopter winching two crew members from the second vessel.
Coastguard and local rescue teams put in tremendous effort to ensure the safety of all involved. Their timely response prevented what could’ve been a far worse outcome. Hats off to all the brave rescuers! 👏
Stay safe and always respect the sea! 🌊
