🎉 Exciting news for all you running enthusiasts! The Cardiff Half Marathon is shaking things up for 2026 following an incredible sell-out of this year’s event in just 12 hours! 🚀
Due to an overwhelming demand, the organisers have announced a switch from the current first-come, first-served entry system to a ballot. This means you’ll have a fair chance, just like in major events such as the London Marathon. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Mark your calendars! The ballot for the Cardiff Half Marathon will open on September 30 and close at midnight on October 19. Good luck to everyone entering; remember, the odds are more favourable than some other big names out there! 💌
Set to take place on October 4, 2026, this event is turning into one of Europe’s largest half marathons, attracting runners worldwide. If you want to skip the ballot entirely, there are a few ways to secure your spot right away, like the Welsh Distance Double or the CDF Training Bundle! 🏅
Fancy giving back while you run? Sign up as an NSPCC fundraiser for a guaranteed entry by pledging to raise vital funds. Or, if you’re part of Welsh Athletics, there are spots specifically reserved for members.
Matt Newman, the mastermind behind Run 4 Wales, expressed pride over the event’s booming popularity. As always, don’t miss your chance to be part of this spectacular event in our vibrant capital! 🌟
