In a collaborative investigation led by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and the HMPPS Counter Corruption Unit, evidence showed Turner used multiple mobile phones to communicate, including one reportedly inside the prison itself. Phone record analysis sealed her fate, confirming contacts to a device within HMP Manchester.

Detective Inspector Brian Morley highlighted the gravity of corruption in prisons and vowed continued efforts to uphold their integrity. “This case underlines the serious consequences for those who step out of line. Our mission is to support honest staff and crackdown on dangerous practices,” he stated, urging whistle-blowers to come forward with any more intel that could help clean up the system.
