Christian Horner is on the hunt for his next big move in Formula 1! After being let go by Red Bull in July with a massive £80 million payoff, the former team principal is pulling out all the stops to return to the F1 scene. Rumour has it, he’s been reaching out to nearly every team owner in the paddock, determined to make his comeback sooner rather than later.

Horner’s impressive legacy at Red Bull includes leading the team to eight Drivers’ Championships—four with Sebastian Vettel and another four with Max Verstappen—and six Constructors’ Championships. Despite his stellar track record, a swift return isn’t on the cards just yet. Both Aston Martin and Haas, two teams he’s approached, have turned down potential roles for him.
Aston Martin’s CEO Andy Cowell stated he’s heard the rumours but confirmed there’s no plan for Horner’s involvement. Similarly, Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu revealed Horner’s approach but mentioned that discussions went nowhere. Williams team principal James Vowles also confirmed Horner hasn’t knocked on their door, expressing satisfaction with their current set-up.

Meanwhile, Alpine’s managing director Steve Nielsen mentioned that Horner shares a friendship with their executive adviser, Flavio Briatore, but there are no concrete plans. The motorsport world remains on edge as Horner hasn’t publicly addressed his plans post-Red Bull, though he did express deep gratitude for his time leading the team.
While the F1 world waits to see where Horner will land, one thing is clear: his passion for the sport is unwavering. Who knows where this motorsport maverick will turn up next!
