Competing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a video of him struggling with a bunker shot captivated audiences. Let’s just say that unlike his brilliant tennis finesse, his golf game might need a little more practice. 😅
Murray himself joined in on the light-hearted banter, confessing on Instagram, “I know, I know, I’m terrible at golf.” But hey, who hasn’t had a frustrating day on the course, right? Many fans chimed in with relatable comments like, “We’ve all been there,” and “This is so me on a golf course.”
Despite the blunder, Murray’s heart remains on the greens. He recently expressed his golfing ambitions, revealing his dream to possibly play in more competitions. “If I can improve enough, I think it would be a fun thing to do,” he shared. Having had the time of his life at the Beaverbrook club championships earlier this year, it’s clear the golf bug has bitten! 🏌️♂️
Fellow golfing enthusiast and ex-footballer Gareth Bale had some friendly rivalry words, admitting, “My handicap would suggest me!” when pressed on who might have the edge in golf between the two. Teaming up with pro golfer Eddie Pepperell, Andy ended the first round seven under par and stood 28th on the leaderboard after their second match. Not too shabby, right?
