🚨 Dramatic morning on the Maerdy mountain road! 🚗 Emergency services rushed to the A4233 after a car veered off the road between Aberdare and Maerdy. South Wales Police, fire, and ambulance crews were all on the scene just before 8am.
The busy stretch had to be closed for some quick recovery work, but don’t worry—it’s back open now! 🚧
The car reportedly left the carriageway on the Maerdy side, and although we’re still waiting on any updates about injuries, it seems the driver managed to get out before help arrived. Crews from Aberdare and Ferndale made sure everything was safe and sound after the incident.
Stay safe out there, folks! Make sure to drive carefully on those mountain roads and keep your eyes peeled for any updates on this story. 💬
