🏉 **Cardiff Rugby’s New Additions!** 🏉
Exciting times at Cardiff as the club swiftly reacts to an injury setback by signing two promising players from England. 🚀 With key centres like Mason Grady and Harri Millard sidelined and Ben Thomas temporarily benched, Cardiff has welcomed Osian Roberts and Will Rigg on short-term loan deals to fill the gap.
Osian Roberts, a familiar face hailing from Cardiff, joins from Sale and is ready to make his mark back home. With a solid track record from his breakthrough season with Wales U20s, this 20-year-old powerhouse is all set to bring his defensive skills to the URC stage. 💪
Joining alongside him is Will Rigg from Exeter Chiefs. This former Cardiff Met alumni has already shown his prowess at Coventry and Exeter, boasting nine tries in 23 appearances. Known for his speed and versatility, Rigg is expected to add some serious momentum to Cardiff’s play. ⚡️
Head coach Corniel van Zyl is optimistic about the new players: “They’re here to make an impact, and we’re excited to see what they can do against Connacht.” Both players jumped straight into training at the Arms Park this week, eager to integrate into the team.
In terms of injuries, Rory Jennings faces a significant absence with a hamstring tear, while Harri Millard’s situation seems less critical and is being monitored.
