This spot, near Porthmadog, is a stunning beauty but has a sneaky reputation for trapping vehicles that misjudge the tides.
Earlier this year, Black Rock Sands claimed a motorhome and a convertible VW Beetle. People thought the accidents had calmed down, but it seems the beach isn’t done yet!
The dramatic incident unfolded this week when the RNLI rushed to the scene after getting reports of a car in the water, fearing there might be someone inside. Luckily, the Audi’s owner and their dog were safe on dry land, away from the chaos.
🚨 Criccieth RNLI stated, “Our Atlantic 85-class Lifeboat immediately headed out to ensure no one was in danger.” With the owner confirmed safe, the crew returned to base, leaving the sea to claim its latest catch.
