A 43-year-old woman from the area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody as investigations continue. The scene remains cordoned off by the police, and the case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct to ensure thorough oversight due to earlier police contact.

Neighbours are in shock, with local resident Luke Browne describing the scene as heartbreaking and expressing the collective sorrow felt by many: “It’s very sad. Children dying is a horror. It’s quite painful to hear it.”
