Middle-aged man surprises young woman with thoughtful gifts at hotel rendezvous

A shocking turn of events unravelled recently when a 49-year-old man thought he was meeting up with a 14-year-old girl. Instead, he was caught in the act by members of a paedophile hunter group. Rodolfa Galvao arranged to meet at a Swansea bowling alley, bearing a single rose and a Dairy Milk chocolate bar, but his plans were thwarted upon arrival.

Galvao had been grooming someone he believed to be a teenage girl online, booking a hotel room equipped with drinks, condoms, sex toys and even a copy of the Karma Sutra. Believing he had found “true love,” he assured his online “date” that age was just a number and promised a “gentle first time.”

But Galvao was in for a rude awakening! The profile he’d been chatting with belonged to a decoy from Dank Dragon, a group dedicated to exposing individuals with such intentions.

Facing his fate in court, Galvao showed little more than “self-pity,” with the judge emphasizing his lack of genuine remorse. Despite high-flying excuses, they didn’t fly with the court. He was promptly sentenced to 14 months in prison with added conditions, marking him as a registered sex offender for a decade.
