💔 Remembering Ricky Hatton 💔

The boxing world is in mourning as we remember the legendary British boxer, Ricky Hatton, who tragically passed away last month. At just 46, Hatton was found at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester. As the inquest begins, some details about his final days have come to light.

Hatton, affectionately known as ‘The Hitman’, was discovered ‘unresponsive’ at home by his friend and manager, Paul Speak. Speak had arrived to take Ricky to Manchester Airport for a planned trip to Dubai.

Reports from the inquest revealed a provisional cause of death as ‘hanging’. Yet, everyone close to him believes it wasn’t intentional. He had plans – from taking his daughters to an Oasis concert to holiday trips to Thailand and Tenerife.
Just days before, he was reportedly seen “appearing well” by family members but missed an event he was supposed to attend. Still, his last days seemed ordinary, filled with everyday plans and laughter.
Heartbreakingly, it was Speak who discovered him, initially thinking Ricky had simply overslept. The moment turned into a tragedy when he found the truth. Speak recalls, “I thought he’d overslept, not unusual really. But then… the realisation… I was in a state of shock.”
A full inquest is slated for March 2026 to delve deeper into the circumstances, aiming to find closure and honor Hatton’s incredible legacy.
