Jill Scott shares her insight on empowering women in sport! 🌟 A recent survey of 2,000 adults revealed some interesting stats: nearly half of the women are excited to get active, but a few barriers are holding them back. From costs and equipment issues to a lack of confidence and motivation, women face a unique set of challenges when stepping into the sports world.

Interestingly, 64% of women have tried a new sport this past year, inspired by our amazing athletes like the Lionesses and English Roses! Yet, many still feel stuck in a cycle of wanting to be fitter but not feeling fit enough to join a team.

The survey, commissioned by Liquid I.V., highlights the crucial role of hydration in performance. Did you know 75% believed staying hydrated boosts their performance? However, many still struggle with the dehydration symptoms like dizziness and lack of motivation.

Former England midfielder Jill Scott, now collaborating with Liquid I.V. for the Hot Seat Series, emphasised: “Motivation and hydration are key. Whether you’re in a match or on a quick run, electrolytes keep your muscles and mind sharp!”
The survey also showed that women generally train shorter than men, with only 21% exercising over an hour compared to 30% of men.
When thinking of sporting inspirations, Jessica Ennis topped the list for women, while men looked up to football icons like Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford.
Jill added, “Hydration helped me stay sharp and recover quickly, and it’s a daily priority for me.” Let’s break down these barriers and get more women thriving in sports! 💪 #WomenInSport #HydrationIsKey #JillScott
