In a gripping courtroom drama, jurors were shown chilling footage from the night of a shocking incident involving an asylum seeker. Deng Chol Majek, who denies charges of murder, was allegedly caught on CCTV buying alcohol and dancing shortly after an attack on Rhiannon Skye Whyte.

The incident unfolded at Bescot Stadium station, where prosecutors claim Majek followed Ms Whyte from a nearby hotel and stabbed her multiple times. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries three days later. The chilling footage shows the aftermath, with emergency vehicles’ blue lights flashing while Majek, reportedly, danced nearby.
Detectives presented CCTV from various locations, including the hotel and roads across Walsall. The visuals traced Majek’s movements, showing him buying alcohol and returning to the hotel with a different set of attire. Despite the gravity of the charges, Majek stood firm, denying murder and the possession of a screwdriver with unlawful intent.
