π¨ Crime in Newport: Family Duo Behind Bars π¨

A major blow to Newport’s drug scene as four members of a notorious drugs gang, including a mother and her son, face over 18 years in prison! Meet the offenders: Reece Smith, 27, the gang’s mastermind; Michael Page, 30; Claire Levy, 43; and her son Cory Levy, 22. Their poison of choice? Heroin and crack cocaine, dealt across the Newport area.

In a shocking turn of events, authorities uncovered a staggering Β£260,000 worth of Class A drugs! π Big thanks to Gwent Police for their diligent work. Officers carried out raids at Cot Farm Close and Coniston Close last December. But the story didnβt end there. Smith, the ring leader, was busted AGAIN in August, sealing his fate.
Hereβs the breakdown:
π Reece Smith: 10 years
π Michael Page: 3 years
π Claire Levy: 31 months
π Cory Levy: 32 months
PC Jack Passmore commended the public, stating that community support was vital in bringing these criminals to justice. “These individuals cared nothing for the suffering they inflicted. Their sole interest lay in their profits,” he remarked, acknowledging the community’s crucial role in the investigation.
