Team GB’s 800m star, Keely Hodgkinson, is rewriting her own story! Having risen to Olympic glory last year in Paris, Keely admits she’s found a new perspective after a particularly challenging year. Remember her goal to treat herself to a sleek Porsche? Well, that plan shifted gears. 🚗
“I did test drive one,” Keely shared, “but it was so low, my knees couldn’t handle it!” Despite securing gold, her new motivations aren’t defined by material goals anymore. Instead, her drive now comes from the sheer joy of competition and the thrill of owning the track.
A series of injuries kept her away from the track for a while, but they also gave her more time with family and friends. Keely embraced this unexpected break, revelling in life’s simple joys. “I’ve realised life isn’t just about the race,” she says, “it’s also about living, loving, and enjoying every moment.”
