It’s the end of the dance floor journey for Chris Robshaw, former England rugby captain, as he’s eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing. Despite having zero dance skills prior, Chris impressed fans and judges alike over the four weeks he competed with pro partner Nadiya Bychkova. This weekend saw him in the bottom two once more, ultimately being sent home after a tense dance-off against EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal.
Chris’s wife, classical singer Camilla Kerslake, has been his biggest cheerleader throughout the series, even admitting to almost confronting judge Craig Revel Horwood after a particularly tough score earlier in the competition! Following his exit, Camilla took to Instagram with a heartfelt message for her husband, declaring him their “champion” and praising his dedication both on and off the floor. She also took a playful swipe at Craig with a cheeky “BOO to you.”
In his own message, Chris thanked his Strictly partner and everyone who supported their dancing adventure, expressing how transformative the experience has been, especially given the confidence boost it provided. Though his dancing stint might be over, Chris isn’t hanging up his shoes just yet – they’ll be getting a well-deserved rest, ready for the next opportunity to shine.
