🌊🎥 Guess who’s coming home for Christmas! The fabulous Ruth Jones, star of the beloved Gavin & Stacey, is heading back to her roots in Porthcawl. This time, she’s bringing along her friend and co-star Steve Spiers for a festive TV special, “Ruth and Steve: From Porthcawl with Love” airing on 15th December at 9pm on BBC One. Can’t wait to see these two in action!
Ruth and Steve joined the amazing volunteer RNLI crews from Porthcawl and Barry Dock for some seafaring adventures. Get ready for a mix of heartwarming family connections, local heroes, and sea rescues! Ruth’s sister Maria, a local GP, is part of this valiant RNLI team, showing that heroism runs in the family. 🦸♀️💙
During their visit, Ruth and Steve suited up for a lifeboat exercise, learning how these heroic crews save lives on the unpredictable sea. Cameras were rolling, but the crew was ready for anything, keeping those waters safe as always.
Later, Ruth and Steve treated the crew to a private preview screening of their forthcoming special, sharing laughs, behind-the-scenes stories, and spreading some Christmas cheer. 🎄✨
