Talk about bold! A 23-year-old drug dealer in Brighton decided it was a good idea to offer cocaine to the police while they were arresting him. Yep, you read that right. Endri Lamaj was caught red-handed by Sussex Police on August 5 after they captured him on camera dealing Class A drugs. During his arrest, when officers suspected he had cocaine on him, he didn’t just confirm it but went ahead and offered them some, saying: “Do you want some?”

The police found 11 bags of cocaine plus a stash of cash on him. He was charged with possession with the intent to supply, and now he’s paying the price with a two-year prison sentence after pleading guilty on September 3 at Lewes Crown Court.

Chief Inspector Simon Marchant praised the local community for providing crucial information that led to Lamaj’s arrest, emphasising that drug dealing causes more harm than just a single transaction. It disrupts neighbourhoods, fuels anti-social behaviour, and makes people feel unsafe.

There’s an ongoing effort to combat such crimes, with police patrols keeping a close watch and reminding everyone that every report counts. The community’s tip-off in this case is a testament to the power of vigilance and collaboration in keeping our streets safer!
