In the early hours of New Year’s Eve, a devastating house fire broke out in Glenboi, near Mountain Ash. Emergency services rushed to the scene around 2am, but tragically, one person was found deceased inside the home. Firefighters battled the blaze while police evacuated nearby residents and closed roads for safety.
After a thorough joint investigation with South Wales Fire and Rescue, South Wales Police confirmed that the fire was accidental. The formal identification of the victim has yet to be completed.
